about
Clive Rowley
is a Staffordshire man: he was born there, and has lived there
for most of
his working life and now lives in a small village close to
the border with Derbyshire.
A doctor trained at
Cambridge University and the Royal London Hospital, he now enjoys
a less frantic life, though he does think Parkinson's Law is valid in
retirement.
For many
years he was a member of the Society of Staffordshire
Artists, but his love
of photography squeezed out his painting, though he feels he
may renew the challenge
in time. Clive has
taken photographs since he was a boy, and over 50 years ago,
at the time of
his 12th birthday, he saved the money to buy his first
camera.
Articles on
his photography and his imagery have appeared in several
magazines
including Amateur Photographer, Practical Photography
and Mono Magazine. His
photographs have appeared in five international yearbooks of
monochrome photography.
He created
the
justmono.com website in 2003 and has also created
other websites on
infrared photography and his justmono.co.uk
website
features monochrome journeys in
space and time.
Prints of his
photographs are owned worldwide and he has exhibited at
various venues
and last year joined Peter Clark and Jason Walker for an
exhibition in Beaumaris,
Anglesey, North Wales.
